This website

This site is a simple, static showcase. It uses no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and sets no cookies. Visiting it does not create an account or collect personal information.

The software

Ampchor runs on your own computer and your files stay on your own machine. It is not a cloud service, the studio has no servers that store your library and your media is never uploaded to us.

Metadata (posters, cover art, credits) is fetched from public providers to enrich your library; those requests are made by your own machine. The first time you open Ampchor it asks if you want to share anonymous reports that help fix bugs. Nothing is sent unless you say yes, reports contain no personal information and are deleted after 30 days, and you can change your answer anytime in Settings → Privacy.

The phone and TV apps

The Ampchor apps for iPhone, Android and TV show the library on a computer you have paired them with. They need no account and collect nothing about you. The same optional bug reports apply: the app asks once, sends nothing unless you say yes, and the reports (crash logs and performance figures, no names, no file names) are deleted after 30 days. You can change your answer any time in the app's Settings.

Away from home, Pro connects your phone to your computer through an encrypted connection set up by our service. That service helps the two devices find each other; what plays between them is encrypted end to end and never stored by us.

The apps use the camera only to scan the pairing code your computer shows, and the local network only to find your computer at home.
